Nidwah: (Colloquial Gulf Arabic). Loose weave, black Indian cotton Gauze (shāsh) fabric. Generally used for Shawl, head Scarf or veil (Shaylah) and overgarments (athwāb). When dyed in woad it is called (Wasmah), when dyed in Indigo it is then called (nīl).
