- Dr. Reem El Mutwalli, Founder of The Zay
Zay: (Arabic: costume, Pl. azyaā’), a set of clothes in a style typical of a particular country or historical period. Initiative, Lead Curator of the Women’s Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, is a published author, curator, and public speaker. With over 30 years of experience, she is an expert consultant in Islamic art and architecture, interior design, historic dress, and UAE heritage.
- Sandra Martínez, Clinical Psychologist, specialized in children and teenagers, with a focus on third generation therapies such as ACT, EMDR, DBT, and Mindfulness
- Habiba Abdulrahman, a sustainable lifestyle blogger, and digital content creator for Thrift for Good. She is passionate about conserving the environment and learning about sustainability and founded an initiative called Trashion Kenya in Kenya in 2018 which showcases how trash and fashion can be fused to create special products.
This talk is moderated by Alexandra Bucokova, Operations Coordinator for Fashion Revolution UAE. Originally from Slovakia, she has a Master’s degree in Sustainable Fashion. She has experience and knowledge from different fields in the fashion industry. During her studies, she developed a strong sense of devotion to the social aspect of the fashion industry and would like to make a difference in this sector, which is why she joined Fashion Revolution.
