Object features
This short sleeved çepken (sitrah) reaches to the waist when worn. It is hand stitched from striped silk in red, orange, blue and gold colors, with simple embroidery of geometric shapes and zigzag lines with golden threads (zari) and dark green silk threads (brisam). The embroidery is located around the circular neck opening, and along both sides of the front slit, around the cuffs, and in the upper edge of the right pocket.
The çepken features sleeves attached to the body with a triangular piece of the same material added at each armpit. Under that triangle a piece was added over the entire length from the front and back sides, two small holes were left on each side. Two pieces of fabric were also added to the front and back at the end of each sleeve in order to support the opening of the narrow cuff, which was sewn with a small button that matched the colour of the red line on the jacket.
