Tnfāyah: (Arabic: Fajah/fa’j: panel/ section or land, synonym: Ibt, bāt, tkhrāṣah, Khishtq), a more rectangular form of a gusset (tkhrasah) found typically on men’s tunics. A piece of fabric inserted into the seam to add breadth or reduce stress from tight-fitting clothing. Used for underarms on tunic dresses, it can also refer to side sleeve panels on overgarments (thāwb). colloquially in Arab gulf region, where the letter (jīm) is pronounced (yā’).
