Siqilly

Ṣiqilly: (Arabic: perhaps in reference to Sicily or to a Sicilian family that produced this type of yarn). In Morocco, it is gold thread twisted over silk or linen thread, traditionally saddles and clothing were embroidered with it. Later the name ṣiqilly applied to the shiny threads twisted in the same way.
