Shāl_tarmah: (Arabic: ShalShawl; trmah – fine wooL, synonyms: Buta, Paisley, Kazu, kazuah ), reference to the fine Pashmina wool shawls from the Kashmir region imported from the Indian subcontinent. Colloquially within the various Arab communities, the term denotes to shawls with the Paisley motif that were traditionally made of fine wool and were made in Kashmir, thus, becoming synonymous to Paisley motifs.
