Mahramah: (Arabic; Synonym: mandīl_Yazma_mahrama, Yazma_yemeni ), often a rectangular piece of printed or patterned fabric used as head cover and handkerchief by Ottoman women. The term was unique to the Arab region amongst the Arab-speaking populace.
