Maghmuq: (Arabic: ghāmiq: dark colour), refers to rectangular tie-dyed black cotton face veil with large diamond-shaped eye motifs in red and white to repel the evil eye. It is simply tied in a knot to the back of the head covering the face and extending to the mid-chest area when in public by the women of San’a, Yemen. When worn by married women it is accompanied by another article called (Rās_Mughmuq).
