Ḥizām: a rectangular or a square piece of cloth used to tighten the waist over a (Qaftan), (jalak), or (anantari). The two intersecting corners of it are folded to form a triangle that is then folded to form a waistband. Usually made of wool or silk, sometimes it may be a Shawl of Kashmir wool.
