Gūkh: (in Turkish: guqah, Pl. aguakh), a woollen garment originally worn by monks. They became popular for the rich to wear on rainy days in the countries of the Maghreb, Egypt, and Persia. In Turkey they are worn short and in Persia long. This type of garment has several names, including robe, gown, and cloak.
