Dībāj: (Farsi) Term is possibly Persian in origin, referring to what is known in English as ‘brocade,’ meaning a richly decorative shuttle-woven fabrics, having a raised floral or figured design that is introduced during the weaving process, often made in colored silks and with or without gold and silver threads.
